Advanced CNC Mill Programmer/
Operator

RWD Machining & Fabrication specializes in precision Waterjet, CNC Mill and Wire EDM work. Making complex parts for aerospace, defense, automation and the machine tool industry. We are looking for someone who can design fixtures for prototype parts to full production in tandem with the ability to program, set up and operate vertical CNC mills. Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years experience. Our facility is clean, well lit and climate controlled. We are continually investing in the latest technology and tooling available on the market. We have the latest model from Hurco and Haas machining centers, both 4 and 5 axis. 

Job Description:

Generate a process to machine components from STEP or IGES files from start to finish using best machining practices. Program , set up and operate CNC Mills for the support of our new tooling and die maintenance efforts as well as a vast array of other manufacturing needs. 

Duties Include:

• Program, set up and operate CNC Mills using the latest version of Master Cam software
• Design fixtures and custom work holding using Solid works and Mastercam
• Select tooling to properly complete machined components
• Observe machine operation to verify accuracy of machine settings and to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, using precision measuring instruments
• Completing routine machine PM and daily machine/workspace clean up as required
• Any knowledge of general grinding and machining practices a plus

Duties Include:

• 5 years of experience setting up and operating CNC Mills
• Knowledge of Hurco/Haas controls is helpful but not necessary
• 2 years of fixture design
• 2 years of experience with Mastercam 3D toolpaths
• High School Diploma
• Follow procedures and instructions per ISO requirements
• 5 years of Mastercam experience
• Good written & verbal skills
• Knowledge of GD&T
• Able to work overtime when necessary
• Wire EDM experience is a plus but not necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
