RWD Capability

Waterjet Cutting & Fabrication

Speed • Savings • Efficiency

Precision cutting without heat-affected zones.

Waterjet cutting is ideal for just-in-time manufacturing, tooling, prototype part development and machine repair parts. An ultra-high-pressure stream of water carries abrasive grit to cut a wide variety of materials.

  • Clean, smooth cuts that can reduce secondary operations
  • No heat-affected zone and minimal mechanical stress
  • No expensive tooling or complex fixture costs
  • Can cut metal, plastic, stone, wood, glass, rubber and more
  • Large sheet capability with tight tolerance control

Five Quality Levels

Choose the finish that fits the job

Abrasive waterjet cutting speed can be adjusted to balance edge finish, tolerance, turnaround and cost.

Q1 • Rough

Fastest setting for rough cutting where edge finish and tight tolerances are not critical.

Q2 • Production

Fast cutting when finish is secondary or a later machining operation is planned.

Q3 • Standard

Common choice offering good to very good finish, standard tolerances and taper control.

Q4 • Fine

Very good to excellent finish with tight tolerances and little need for secondary finishing.

Q5 • Premium

Best available abrasive-waterjet finish for applications where appearance and precision matter most.
